St. Ives Uniting Church was founded in the 1960's with children and families at our heart. We continue to value the involvement of children and families in every aspect of the life and mission of the church family.

During the Sunday morning service our youth sit in with the congregation. They often participate through readings, welcoming, or the set up of technology. These young people are a precious and valued part of our community. We also offer a variety of activities to the youth according to interest and availability.

On all other Sunday morning services, preschool and school ages children are welcome to remain with their parents or guardians, or they may join with others at a table positioned at the back of the gathering. Our desire is to offer a story-filled and creative space for children exploring faith in Christ. We provide opportunities to learn about God, and how to live well with others (gently and lovingly), through play, talk, and colourful crafts.

Parents are welcome to join the children in their activities, which are either at the back of the church or in a room directly opposite the hall, depending on the number of children and volunteers.

We are keen to support the whole family and we love connecting families with each other, so come along on a Sunday and have a chat to see if you might be interested in the occasional Big Family Brunch or Big Family Dinner.
